Gingerbread

The house is not in bad shape, except for some peeling paint on the trim.  But, the yard needs work.

Hmmm! maybe just a little bit Jack, but the house is so pretty!! Could look spectacular as you say with a little tlc.

But it is sooooo cute! A little tlc, a mower and a tiller could help that yard out. :)

Happy to hear that Irene was not as wicked as predicted, Jack! The house would be perfect in San Francisco! Perhaps a little landscaping is in order also.

This house is really beautiful.

Watching the news last night I got to see some of the damage in your state and New England in general. That storm was horrible. Hope you have electricity back again very soon.

It's like a storybook, fitting title!

Are you sure that house is real?! It's so fairy-bookish!
(I think all it needs is some impatiens...;D)

Just delightful and I hope that you will be able to show us the improved landscape shortly!

A fairy tale indeed -- maybe a haunted house, but whatever it's a lovely house, hope they get to the yard soon! Great shot for the day as always, Jack! Hope your week is off to a great start!

It's like a fairy tale indeed, even with its a bit neglected garden:)

The unkempt yard gives the house more character... as a Victorian it has seen a lot over the years, maybe the worst is not weeds. Hope you and yours were unscathed by Irene...

The house is so beautiful that I wouldn't care about the yard if I could buy it. :-) It's a great setting.

The garden can wait. It takes years and years to make a garden anyway...

It looks like a big dollhouse! I love it.

It looks kind of out of scale - more like a doll's house than a real one. Very pretty shape though.

Maybe it's just me, but it looks a little spooky!

Wonderful house! Naturalized landscaping doesn't suit it. ;-))

Does Sleeping Beauty live there? She may be waiting for her prince to arrive. :)

This does look like a gingerbread house. There is always one lawn on the block that looks like this.

I'm back again, Jack, to respond to the comment you made on my blog today. Now, I would NEVER pass off a stuffed bird for the real thing, and I'm happy to know that you took time to determine its authenticity. Go to my August 27th post to learn about the home of that bird (and other animals). http://mysantafe-kate.blogspot.com/2011/08/whoo-whoo-camera-critters.html

Call HGTV's Curb Appeal! It could be so nice.

What a great place. Too bad it has no one to love it.

A very enchanting house. Just imagine the stories it could tell.

I would say a renovators delight Jack!! It looks like something out of a movie!

The yard may need some work, but the house is lovely.

That's a wonderful house with dreamy architectural features! It would have 7 Boy Scout troops several days to get that yard back in shape....
