Yesterday First Selectman Rudy Marconi of Ridgefield pardoned Pepper the turkey at Lounsbury House.
Good for Pepper.
Pepper doesn't look all that pleased about being pardoned. Lovely photos of a bird that is much on our minds these days. I am looking forward to one well roasted this week.
Strange that we celebrate sparing this turkey even as we prepare to eat one later this week. Humans are such paradoxical creatures. Aloha friend
