On two January weekends, a Medieval Faire is held in a big open field in Bonita Springs.
It seems like an odd event in the 21st century, but many people participate and many people attend.
My camera and I were there, so I am not the right person to question it.

There is a huge Medieval Faire in Minneapolis every fall. Looks like yours was great fun for both you and your camera.
We all need avocations or amusing activities. You went to an art show yesterday, a Renaissance fair today, who knows what will happen tomorrow. A car show? We all like different stuff, and often the same stuff.
There was something like this not far from where I grew up, but I never attended.
