Ibis

An ibis is a fairly big white bird with a curved orange bill.  In southwest Florida, ibises are about as common as squirrels are up north.  So, I generally don't photograph them.

But, there are exceptions.

In one of my favorite locations for photographing the local wildlife, ibises gather in the late afternoon. Earlier this week I stood there and focused on one or two at a time.

Visit Weekend Reflections to see other photographs with reflections.

I think they are worthy subjects for the camera. We have Glossy Ibises which are just beginning to become established in the UK.

They are neat old birds, and you've got them even looking at each other!
