It was a cold and rainy September morning near my house in West Hartford.
The high school students gathered at the corner to wait for the school bus.
I took a photograph through my hydrangea border.
My focus was a "fail" but the image was not.

The focal point seems to be the red umbrella.
Looks more like some photoshop effect to me. Rain is never much fun.
This is very nice Jack. It looks a bit like a watercolor painting.
It does have an artistic feel to the pic.
Perfect choice! I like the effect.
Very painterly, Jack! I like it a lot!
This photo is so interesting. Love the umbrellas and the flowers - and then that splash of golden yellow near the base of the tree on the right.
I agree with Sharon, it does have that watercolour effect.
Very creative!
Lovely, very painterly feel to this.
Maybe a bit out of focus, but a great image of daily life, Jack.
This picture turned out great Jack! I would settle for cool and rainy here. It has been dry and hot for several weeks.
Love the feel of this rainy image Jack.. I'm thinking that we're coming to the end of our rainy umbrella weather.. unfortunately!
Looks a bit like a Monet painting.
