Bark

Mother Nature is one heck of an artist, don't you think?

Trunk of a tree seen during a hike in New Hampshire.

She is indeed; though she makes a right mess of my garden if I don't keep an eye on her!

Very true. I found a photogenic mushroom while walking in a forest.

I agree with you. And Mother Nature, aided by evolution, is more creative in designing creative in designing organisms than Hollywood script writers and movie producers.

You have just reminded me that some of the last photos I took with my film camera were tree barks. It is a marvellous artist!

I completely agree. I saw this and thought; hey, I'm not the only one who takes photos of bark. :D

I didn't know that Mother Nature was an abstract expressionist, but there it is. Learn something every day. Great photo eye to see this and make the photo.

I can hardly resist reaching out to touch that one. Very tactile. It's quite unusual bark - do you know the type of tree?

Sycamore or possibly plane tree?
