I have known Tom forever. OK, only 32 years.
Tom works in legislative affairs.
Some would call him a lobbyist.
But that seems like such an unfortunate term
for one who performs the valuable public service of
helping legislators understand complicated subjects.

Tom looks like he could be your relative.
In his lieu, I would go crazy.
Unless Tom and I have a common ancestor back in the time of the Celts and Druids, we are not related.
Tom looks like a man with an abundance of patience Jack, he probably needs it in his line of work :)
oh i don't know how he does it!
I was thinking the same thing as Andy!! I admire anyone who can deal with legislators and still walk upright!! I don't know how he does it either!! Great one for the day as always, Jack! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!
Great portrait Jack.
I guess there are some good lobbyists out there! :)
I have a good friend who is a lobbyist and she's also a really great person. There are plenty of good ones out there. I'm glad Tom is one of them.
Another excellent portrait, Jack!
One has to wonder what would get done if there were no lobbyists, Jack.
Oh, so you met as youngsters out on a playground, right?
It's nice to place a kind, human face with the term "lobbyist." I would imagine it's a great public service to attempt to impart common sense and knowledge to those who believe that amassing votes places them up into godly spheres.
Tom has a kind face that you have captured well!
I'll take your word for Tom's credentials. Great, warm portrait.

Almost thought you were brothers.
Well, when you're only 33 (wink, wink), 32 years really can seem like forever.
Another handsome fellow. Yes, he could be your brother.
I know a number of legislators, both local and national, that certainly could use his expertise!
I've know Tom for 20 years and he is a good guy. As for lobbyists, most are paid by corporations and do NOT have public interest goals. Are corporations really people and deserve to be taken care of too (at the expense of humans)? Coal Lobby, farm lobby, Wall Street...
