The Mandala of Compassion

This is the partially completed mandala about three weeks ago.  It is now almost complete.  On Sunday, the nuns will ceremoniously dismantle the mandala.  They will disperse the sands into the Connecticut River at Charter Oak Landing in Hartford, a gesture signifying the impermanence of life. The public is invited to observe these rituals.
I have been away and my laptop died, so I have not looked at many other blogs recently.  But, now I am back and I have a new laptop (a Mac, this time).  If I can figure out how to use it, I will see you!

Everytime I see a mandala, my visit to Tibet comes to my mind. This one is particularly beautiful!

Like the mandala, your old computer has yielded to the inevitability of the cycle of life. My MacBookAir is about to do that.

Interesting that this will be dismantled. It's so beautiful.

You'll love your iMac, Jack. Be patient and soon you'll be a pro. :)

This mandala is stunning, and they usually are. It is great that you have been able to see the process, and even better that you have shared it with us.

You will come to love your new Mac. Hope you have a friend who can help you install software and start you off on the right foot.

That is very beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen one before. Welcome to the Mac fan club - at least, I hope you'll soon be a fan. I'm sure it won't take you long to get familiar with it, they are very intuitive.

Good to see you're back! This mandala is beautiful. I definitely like the idea that it's not permanent as well. Life is fleeting!
