I'm passionate by carousels, this one is wonderful and you got a beautiful portrait in your first picture.
I also like the lights, a charming touch!

1914? OMG! I'll bet you remember than from your childhood. Heh, heh!

Cute shot. But why does that guy have his hat on bass-ackward?

I've noticed you've been at a loss for words lately. Hard to believe! ;-)

I knew a person who, in his 50's, took a ride on horse on a carousel and his foot slipped while climbing on the little horse, he fell and destroyed his knee. To add insult to injury, he had to tell people who inquired that he hurt himself on a merry-go-round.

I bet these photos will take more than a few of us back to our childhood in memories.

There are only a few where grown-ups may climb and enjoy that pleasure coming back from childhood.

EG is right these did take me back! I loved horses when I was a little girl and the carousel was one of the few chances I had to ride one! This one is a beauty, and yes, I would want to get on it and ride today! Hope your week is going well, Jack!

Carousels are magical things and this is lovely Jack, I wouldn't mind having a whirl myself. Dave's story made me smile!

Love the delicious over the top detail of this carousel. We tend to have way too many of the very tawdry versions over here.

We never stop loving the carousel do we.

Did you go for a ride too?

That little girl is adorable.

I think the dad is even happier to be going for a ride on that thing than the little girl
