I'm passionate by carousels, this one is wonderful and you got a beautiful portrait in your first picture. I also like the lights, a charming touch! Léia
I knew a person who, in his 50's, took a ride on horse on a carousel and his foot slipped while climbing on the little horse, he fell and destroyed his knee. To add insult to injury, he had to tell people who inquired that he hurt himself on a merry-go-round.
EG is right these did take me back! I loved horses when I was a little girl and the carousel was one of the few chances I had to ride one! This one is a beauty, and yes, I would want to get on it and ride today! Hope your week is going well, Jack!

Ah, nothing better than father and child on a beautiful carousel! I, too, would like to ride it, and I wouldn't mind holding that beautiful little girl!

1914? OMG! I'll bet you remember than from your childhood. Heh, heh!
Cute shot. But why does that guy have his hat on bass-ackward?
I've noticed you've been at a loss for words lately. Hard to believe! ;-)

The painted horses are beautiful! Love that little girl too - what a cutie. :)
I bet these photos will take more than a few of us back to our childhood in memories.
There are only a few where grown-ups may climb and enjoy that pleasure coming back from childhood.
A thing of beauty!!

Carousels are magical things and this is lovely Jack, I wouldn't mind having a whirl myself. Dave's story made me smile!
What a sweet picture! That carousel is absolutely wonderful.
Oh, I love carousels, they are really magical things.
I had to see many of these when my son was a kid!
There's something special about these carousels - like journey back to childhood:)
I would love to ride on that one - glad it is being preserved!
Love the delicious over the top detail of this carousel. We tend to have way too many of the very tawdry versions over here.
We never stop loving the carousel do we.
Sweet portrait.
Did you go for a ride too?
That little girl is adorable.
I think the dad is even happier to be going for a ride on that thing than the little girl
Mm, she doesn't look quite sure about this. Me, I LOVE carousels.
Love that carrousel and the little girl is precious!

Wonderful carousel, designed in another century and destined to delight for many generations... You know how I am attracted to carousels.
Counterclockwise... duly noted
