We have lots of colorfully painted houses, but this one on New Britain Avenue in Hartford attracts special attention. Maybe it stands out because it is at a prominent site on a main thoroughfare or maybe because of the unconventional color combination.

Unconventional but charming...must be the high-pitched roof.
Two yellows and one green, that is a but unusual, but it works.
There clearly is no home owners' association in this neighborhood and no architectural control committee that must give approval for exterior paint colors.
I love the style of this house Jack but the colours are a bit too funky for my liking ... It would look nicer painted in a soft grey but its beautifully maintained and obviously the occupants like orange & green.
Very cool colors. I love it!
It reminds me of a flag. I'm sure this house is well-remembered! :)
Looks like a happy place.
Very interesting Jack!
I was thinking just what David said - certainly isn't a deed-restricted neighborhood. Florida has some very colorful homes, but they are in the old neighborhoods before homeowners associations or in Miami!
Interesting colors and although I might have chosen differently, these do work with the style of the house. I would have put the stronger colors on the bottom, however.

Very unusual indeed; But it puts people in good mood!
I like this cute, fun & unique house!
Whatever the reason, it's an interesting, colorful and unusual house! And what a great shot, Jack! Hope all is going well!

I wonder if they were given some paint samples and decided to make do with those.
A kind of Summer colors combination, cool idea! The facade is charming and I like the white painting as details!

It must be fabulous in the snow on a sunny day! I love it!
What floor is your room on?
The green floor!
Very unusual, but it looks great.
Yes this is very colorful, but not my type.
Looks like a perfect little dollhouse.
Are they using this for a movie?
It's certainly summery! :)

What a cute house and great colours!
Different for Connecticut, methinks. :)
They should have added a red layer to make traffic lights.
