You knew I would show something from Elizabeth Park to illustrate "tranquility," didn't you? Elizabeth Park has many different gardens. The time for roses and their riotous abundance of color is almost here, but the tranquility of the shade garden has much to recommend it.

I just want to go sit on that bench in that tranquil garden Jack .... Beautiful composition.
A great place for a bench, I like it very much. A very good choice for this Theme Day.
I knew you were going to show Elizabeth Park. :) As far as I can tell, it's one of the best places in Hartford!
I love the idea of being memorialized with a bench. The sentiment on this plaque is really nice too.
Happy theme day!!
Being surrounded by nature is the best way to feel tranquil. Great memorial plaque, too.
Sweet! Very nice Jack!
you've illustrated tranquility so beautifully here.
I like this idea of benches as tributes. Your picture could be a painting, so beautiful!
Tranquility is the perfect title. Lovely place.
Nothing like a park bench to signify tranquility in my opinion. This is such a lovely shot - love the depth of field you've captured.
This is indeed tranquil, but now I have to rush off to work for an extremely un-tranquil day.
A perfect choice indeed. There is nothing like a seat in the shade on a fine clear day.
Very lovely spot. I really like the perspective on your first shot.
Have a wonderful weekend.
And that is a portrait of tranquility, Jack! What a lovely place and a superb capture! I could enjoy some tranquil time there, that's for sure! Have a wonderful weekend!

I remember the shade garden from last year as one of my favourite parts that you showed.
The bench makes me teary - lovely remembrance!
Such a lovely tribute! I love this bench!
Though I've never been to Elizabeth Park I feel as though I know it from your lovely photos. It's perfect for the theme - and appropriate for Britain's Jubilee weekend too!
I wonder what my bench would read. Something odd I'm sure.
I love how you took that first photo. All one needs now is a pillow...
Haha... this is really a very tranquil place Jack, good choice for this theme day! ... and with a bench for VP too :-)
Lovely shot Jack - great perspective. Happy weekend.
Like the angle of the garden shot. Love the bench dedication.
What wonderful words on that bench.
You nailed it Jack. I"m there with a smile on my face.

Looks like a wonderful spot.
I immediately thought of Malyss when I saw the bench... Pure tranquility and the plaque is a wonderful tribute.

The plaque is very emotional. Well done, take care!
I too love the angle on your first image Jack and immediately thought how much VP and Malyss would adore this second shot. Wonderful images for today's theme.
Wonderful post! Greetings from Brasov!
C'est vrai, ce parc, vu d'ici, me paraît accueillant et apaisant.
Bravo
Roger
