Do you like carousels?

There is a Carousel Museum in Bristol, Museum.  Let me show you some photos from the museum while I am away.  (Though I might interrupt the series to show a travel photo if time permits . . . )

The top photo shows an antique.

The bottom photo shows a partially completed wooden horse, to illustrate how they were constructed.

Carousels are one of the many things that fascinate me. There is something so joyful and youthful about them. There is a store in a small town in Minnesota where carousel animals are carved that is a magical place.

All of a craft!

Such talent it takes to create one of these horses. I always love seeing the antique versions as well.

What an interesting place. Nice images.

There is a new carousel in a very unusual place aboard the world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. I haven't seen it in person, but I've seen pictures of it. It's fantastic!

Indeed I do - like carousels, that is. Some fine craftsmanship goes into the carving.
