After being inside the Trinity College Chapel so long, how about an outdoors shot in northwestern Connecticut?
This mural is on the wall of a building in downtown Torrington. I liked the girl sitting at the roof end of the lower building. Torrington is the biggest city in Litchfield County. It is a former mill town.
One creative work!
There are quite a lot of interesting aspects to this mural but, the girl sitting atop is they real eye-catcher. Wonderful.
Can't load the image, sorry...
Litchfield rings a bell... You're right, the girl is wonderfully done, perfect trompe-l'œil!
THis is huge! I love the guy sitting at the top. Very clever!
It is wonderful Jack. So many things to look at in that mural.!
This is superb and it's the girl on the corner that really stands out.
I'm wondering how the artist painted that light pole on thin air? ;-))
As a youngster I went through Litchfield many times. Oh, wait, that was Litchfield, Minnesota!
Love the mural -- looks like a patchwork quilt of sorts. And I like the girl on the roof too. Very clever.
Your Inside Trinity College Chapel series was outstanding. I'll be back to look at the details more.
I love seeing the mural process here Jack.
What a terrific mural! Love the gal on the roof! Really very clever! I always enjoy your photos, Jack, and your series from Trinity College Chapel are awesome! Hope your week is going well!
I like it too Jack, I like that the skateboarder is doing his thing right in front of the 'no skateboarding' sign!!
Fabulous! The girl takes this to another level.
I hope that girl on the roof doesn't fall off!!
This mural is superb! I love it:)
i wanted to comment that i like the girl painted up there. but then i saw you already wrote that! :)
Had to look twice at the girl, a lovely flourish. Who is the person on the black bit? It looks a bit like HM the Queen from here!
Lots going on in this mural. The girl's dangling legs are perfect. Makes you do a double-take.
I agree with many others, there is much to see. I enlarged and the other girl and boy are also interesting, but the one on the roof is by far a stand out. I love the compass which I assume is correct.
It took me the longest time to realize she was not real. Duh. Is the mural's landscape a depiction of the Litchfield area? You know, the linky to Monday Mural is still open. (hint);)
I've been to Torrington. My father's boss lived there. I really like the design of the mural and I'd enjoy seeing it straight on.
wow creative art there, I love the mural!
You have to like this one.
So cool, Jack!
I'd like to see a full frontal view of the mural!!
A great work in its own style!
The girl is really eye-catching!
Me, again. Thanks for deciding to link to Monday Mural. Your mural is in good company.
Wowsers, Jack. This is magnificent! I'm so glad that you posted the link to it in your post today. Thanks!
