The Red Hot Chili Pipers -- a Scottish rock bagpipe band -- were the featured performers at yesterday's Pipes in the Valley Celtic Music Festival. They were energetic and fun.
The festival was held at a pavilion on the banks of the Connecticut River in downtown Hartford.
The band played two sets, first in the afternoon and then the last set of the night.

Well, Jack, I certainly ain't no Celt, but I have to say that I would have enjoyed this. BTW...tks for yr occasional visits to RuT. Glad you appreciate it.
Ha, great name.
That name is funny and it sounds like they would have been really fun to listen to. I just looked them up on YouTube and one of the comments says "unusual, but absolutely brilliant" and I think that is a good summary.
Nice photos, Jack! Looks like a great event. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of a bagpipe rock band, though! ;-)
Re Starbucks...we've got a bunch of them here, but I don't patronize them. Coffee's too strong for me and also too expensive. Sounds like you do enjoy Panera Bread, too!
Looks like very good entertainment! Anything with bagpipes and girls dancing - how could that not be a hit?!
Bagpipes, eh? Looks like a fun festival.
A bit different to Riverdance I should imagine. Lovely photos btw - not only are the dancers energetic, they are also thin. What I wouldn't give to be thin!☺
Have a good Monday.
