A Bald Eagle, the Symbol of America

Yesterday a friend called to alert me about an eagle behind her house.  When I returned home with this image (among others), I learned that an armed mob had stormed the United States Capitol, egged on by our narcissistic, deranged, embarrassment of a President.  Outrageous!

I pulled my previously scheduled post and mulled over how to replace it.  A dove, symbolizing peace?  How about a puppy or a chubby baby, to be calming?  or a kiss for love?

I present a bald eagle, our national symbol.  We are strong.  Maybe we are not united, but we will heal.  And the National Embarrassment will be escorted out of the White House on or before January 20.

Although if he is kicked out by the 25th Amendment before then, fine with me.

Straitjacket, shackles and leg chains work for me, too.

It was amazing to watch. So little security.

Jack, I applaud your photo today, our nation needs all the support it can get. Our government was strong enough to thwart an insurrection, because that is what happened in Washington yesterday.. I have only seen seditious movements like this in Third World countries, and never thought it could happen here. Thankfully this riot was unsuccessful, and no tyrant came to power.

Yes, and thankfully not a turkey (if Franklin had had his way). Our insurrection yesterday was very disturbing. I just watched a re-run of the 3:30 am vote finally being finished, that of listing each of the electoral ballots by state. The next to last one, Wisconsin, had a feeble attempt at being objected to by a Texas Representative, but it hadn't been signed by a Senator, so was ignored.

They were unbelievable scenes. The 45th President is definitely deranged.

Good choice on the photo. Congress went ahead and did it's job in spite of what happened. Now, holding breath for another 12 days. Though I'm really good with your alternative scenarios.
