Fishman Plaza

As part of an extensive renovation of the facade of the Travelers Tower, the plaza was also renewed.  Now it has sweeps of wildflowers, a welcome bit of nature in the middle of a gritty city.

The plaza was also re-named Fishman Plaza, to honor the late Travelers CEO,
Jay Fishman, who died last year after a struggle with ALS.

I like that they have the giant umbrella out front. The wildflowers are such a good thing to see mid-city!

The big cat sculpture from yesterday would have looked more at home among the tall grasses ☺

Wildflowers are nice and colourful. We have some here around the trails. It will definitely make the area look better. I wonder if anyone uses the red umbrella as a photo prop, I know I would.

Nice to see a bit of nature and, like Redpat, I like the giant umbrella out front.

Cities do need a touch of green here and there. That was what the park system was suppose to be for. Good to see this plaza gets the care it needs.

A pleasant looking spot.

Nature sometimes is allowed by the teaspoonful. Even a small oasis can be effective. And I too like the umbrella.
