Neighbors

The First Church Congregational and the Noah Webster Memorial Library have been
neighbors on South Main Street in West Hartford for almost a century,
since the library (1917) joined its older neighbor (1882).

Quite a nice night shot. These buildings are exactly what one would expect in New England. Iconic.

I do agree with Lowell -- wonderful night shot and great old buildings -- although they don't look that old as they've obviously been taken great care of!! Hope you have a great new week, Jack, and a wonderful New Year!!!

That is a very "New England" scene!

They're beautiful buildings. Their styles suit each other well.

They are nicely paired and it's a great shot of them. I was pleased to find that the library is still open and in use. It looks like a perfect place to browse and read.

I thought the buildings were older. I guess this would be Federal Revival?
