Naples has a little known but world class automobile museum. Over the next few days, I plan to show some cars from that collection. How to pick a reasonable number of cars from the
100+ automobiles in the collection is a big challenge.
This is the first exhibit seen in the entry hall, three red racing cars from 1964. There is a mid engine Porsche 904 GTS, a front engine Alfa Romeo GTZ and a rear engine Simca-Abarth.

If anyone is up for the challenge, I'm sure it's you Jack!
"Bond, James Bond".
Ah, I agree with Halcyon, Jack!! Love these first cars and I'm looking forward to seeing more!! What a fun museum! Hope you have a great day!!
One word comes to mind: Sporty!
This is going to be fun, Jack!
I think all racing cars should be red. It just looks right. Love those old photos up above too.
Alfa Romeo forever!
Yes. Like VP says, for lots of reasons. But I wouldn't mind a Porsche but red? Mmmm, that's Ferrari and Ferrari alone...
Beautiful cars!
Those are some serious cars!
Too bad you couldn't take one for a spin.
How interesting Jack. We have a car museum here in Tallahassee too. Here is their website in case you are ever up this way: www.tacm.com
Nothing to drool over?
Nicely composed shot. I can't remember the last time I heard of a "Simca."
Oh, they are beautiful !
I think my husband's heart would stop beating if he was able to enter this museum to see all the wonderful cars there.
