Out of the Jurisdiction: Venice IV
Finding interesting reflections in Venice is like taking candy from a baby. Here is a photo taken in the window of one of those ubiquitous shops selling masks for Carnevale.
Thanks for your comments yesterday. Many viewers encouraged more photos from my recent trip. I will have some Hartford photos tomorrow, but I will intersperse travel photos -- including more Venetian reflection photos -- with local photos for a while.
You can see other photographs with reflections on Weekend Reflections.

great reflected shot, i keep wandering from the stores interior to trying to decipher what was outside!
I hope that you purchased one of those wonderful masks!
That's a wild reflection. I like your new profile photo.
The Wall Street Journal had an article about a week ago about the consideration being given in Venice to redirecting the cruise ship traffic so that they no longer sail past Piazza San Marco.
On the one hand, they want to preserve the historic structures and avoid damage from vibrations, waves and pollution. ON the other hand, they want the business that the cruise ships bring.
I have several of these window shots that I took when I was there. I saw some interesting things in those windows. I remember a set of tiny little figures making up a whole orchestra.
What a busy, wonderful reflection for the day, Jack! How fun! And, hey, I like your new photo with the hat! Very dapper, Sir Jack! Have a great weekend!
That is a perfect reflection in that fascination window. Did you buy yourself a mask? They look great.
Fascinating reflection! so much to see and guess!
I like your new picture in your profile, love the hat!:o)

Venice is such an amazing place. I love the mix of eye candy inside and outside of the shop window. Great shot! I also enjoyed seeing your other Venice shots.
Nice one Jack..and amidst all that's going on here in this fab reflection, do I spot a tall man in a white fedora :)
Wow, those venitian masks look really pretty, and the reflection gives quite a mystery atmosphere to the whole picture... Nice !

It is a quite rare phenomenom.
You do, Grace, but it is not me. I moved to the right so I would not be in the picture.
oh, wow!!!
Wow - the masks look fabulous and your reflection shot is up to your usual standards, Jack!
I am not a great fan of 'busy' reflections, but you really got a very good one here!
Beautiful venetian reflections, Jack!
I like your new profile photo too.
Amazing reflections, I love seeing everything going on. I enjoy seeing travel photos very much - I get to armchair travel! (Thanks also for your work-photo comment, I also struggle with local vs. further-afield posts when I've been away a lot.)
This has certainly got the 'wow' factor. Colors, reflections, action - all equal a great shot. Love it.
I think this is going to be one of my all time favourites.
Excellent shot, Jack!

Great job! Painterly results, interesting to see.
Wow! This is a great shot. Everything about it is interesting - it has such a rich sense of place. But I was sorry you didn't include your own reflection in the composition. . .
