I recognize those ominous clouds.

Now that is what a state house should look like.

Wonderful architecture and great shot, Jack!

Everytime I come across the city of Providence I remember Alain Resnais' 1977 movie with the same name, starring three actors whose work I've always admired: Dirk Bogarde, Ellen Burstyn and Sir John Gielgud.

What a coincidence: I was just listening to The Last Resort by the Eagles and it names Providence, Rhode Island...

I thought about driving to Providence today. Just a little too cold and rainy for me today. Nice photo of the capitol. I need to force myself out to photograph in less than ideal weather.

Jack, day trips are good for the soul, aren't they? I have one planned for Memorial Day, Zipcar already reserved. We'll see what sort of skies I get to experience--I'm pulling for blue.

The day may be gloomy Jack but that building is quite majestic. I've never heard of Providence before so must look it up on Google!

Our capitol is prettier than your state house (just kidding)! All of these building are quite magnificent. Still haven't taken a tour of the interior of ours. Should be a good photo op, tho.

Nice shot. The gray sky makes it stand out.

It looks quite majestic against those brooding skies. I like all the grey too, moody indeed.
