Capewell Manufacturing
Capewell Manufacturing was an important Hartford factory a century ago. It made nails for horseshoes. The Hartford factory sure looks like it has been abandoned. I have read that the company still makes horsenails in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
Today I feel kind of sad looking at such buildings... In the area where we live it is becoming rather common to see centenary steel works being idled due to economic conditions and, you know, all the stories that are behind them with workers' families and so on... God bless you! Cezar

With the horse racing in this country I can see why the company is still in business. The building looks pretty forlorn.

Too bad they do not utilize this building.
Looks like an area in need of redevelopment.

In this 'age of destruction'. How/Why is it still standing? What, no condos?
I guess you will have to "break in" and have a closer look!
It could be nice with a lot of TLC.
Pity it isn't used for something else, I dunno, market, antiques shops, art...

Hmmm...I would think that Ocala is a big market for these folks. But I don't know horsenails from other forms of horsey things.
It reminds me of the now-famous industrial ruins of Detroit. I've only been there once but they are staggering.
Nice capture of a building that has outlived it' hay day.
I wonder if its headed for demolition or will it be rescued in the nick of time..you'll have to keep up to date Jack.
the us has so many abandoned buildings! i always like to look inside, but never dare.... and am not a good climber.. ;)
Given enough attention, the building has a lot of potential!
