Splish, Splash

Splish, Splash, I was takin' a bath
Long about a Saturday night.
A rub dub, just relaxin' in the tub,
Thinkin' everything was alright.

Well, I stepped out the tub
And put my feet on the floor.
I wrapped my towel around me and
I opened the door.

And then a-splish, splash
I jumped back in the bath.
Well, how was I to know
There was a party goin' on?

Not something you see every day. We had a cafe in Tungelsta when I was a kid and they had one of these I remember it was cool do pay for a song every now and then.

This is a blast from the past! Haven't seen a wee jukebox in a long time. Did you find this in Naples?

Now that juke box is playing my kind of music Jack, I see Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman there, love that one.
P.s. I can't believe you didn't have a cake, you have a lot more willpower than moi haha!

Oh I remember it well. You don't see these things very often. It's nice to know they are still around in some places.

I think I could sing the words to every one of those songs, Jack! A nice blast from the past.

Oh how well I remember these. Are we slipping into geezerdom?

Yup, those were the days. I used to know everything worth knowing back then.

My days were even earlier... Splish Splash is from from 1958.

Fats Domino's "Ain't That A Shame" was from(1955)and Blueberry Hill,was in 1957.

Blue Suede Shoes (Carl Perkins)was also from '55.

This afternoon on the car radio it was Dionne Warwick singing "Don't Make Me Over" from 1962.

Ah, memory lane! My sister in law raised 5 sons: she had an old working jukebox in her front room. :)

(Hi Jack! You found me & my blog through Sue. Drop on by any time! Virtually that is. It's probably too cold for you these days in the great white north.)

Was this at a Johnny Rocket's? I can imagine kids being fascinated such an antique and wondering why there are so few song selections.
