Today I lift more of the curtain. Kind of.
Over the past decade, I have spent a lot of time away from Hartford. Weeds and invasive vines took advantage of the neglect to hijack the shrub border on one side of my property. So, this fall I hired a landscaper to rip it all out, plant a neat hedge of hydrangeas, and then repair the rest with sod and mulch. I think it looks great. Next steps: a Japanese maple tree and a picket fence.
If this works out as planned, you might see the blooming hedge next August.

The photo gives me no indication of your location:-) It should be great next year when the hydrangeas bloom.
What surprises me most is the lack of a white, picket fence. I didn't think you could build on your street without one! Sheesh!

Your local fan base in Hartford might be walking around in search of that hedge. And they might then take a photo, of your house.
You have revealed a lot. A photo of the of your head and the fact that you are 6'5". If not for your photo, few people would see the top of your head.
Oh yes a Japanese Maple would look fantastic with the hydrangea hedge Jack, look forward to seeing it.

Lovely. I do hope to see the blooming hedge. Japanese Maples are a favorite of mine.
I don't think Dave in Costa Rica has to worry. The locals already know the street, and if there's one thing we're good at - perhaps to a fault, is respecting your neighbor's privacy. Though I keep an eye out for Jack whilst walking the dogs in the park.
