Fountain

Wethersfield Green runs for a third of a mile.  There are many classic old homes, as well as many newer houses.

This fountain is on the lawn of a gorgeous bed and breakfast inn.  You will see more of the inn tomorrow.

Does the water come up from the shell? It's a rather unusual subject, but attractive.

A perfect shot from the lawn of the most beautiful house in town! When it opened as a B&B, I toured it as part of a charity event. The inside is every bit as elegant. In the mid 90s, the house was destroyed by fire and sat as a vacant eyesore for many years. Kudos to the couple who purchased and painstakingly restored it. Believe it or not but they have (or had) lots of problems with neighbors who apparently are not fond of having a B&B as a neighbor.

Fountains w/o water seem depressing to me. Is it running?

@Kate and Birdman: it wasn't running when I was there. How about I call it a statue?

A very nice little fountain in front of a rather colorful house with many interesting details. I can't wait to see more.

I love the fountain -- or whatever you choose to call it and what a lovely old house!! Looking forward to seeing more tomorrow! Hope your weekend is off to a good start, Jack, with camera in hand!!

Old houses and new houses on the same street. My guess is that the old houses are more worthy of the attention of your camera.

Pretty. It looks like a very ornate B&B mansion!

This B&B is just gorgeous Jack I love the way they have used different colours which add so much class. Beautifully presented.
