The Wadsworth Atheneum's Festival of Trees is always held in the first part of December. Artists and community groups decorate trees and wreaths, which are put up for sale to provide supplemental funding for the art museum.

I always enjoy a Festival of Trees wherever it is located. The garland is especially pretty in this shot.
That is a good concept, for art, for the holidays, and for the financial support of the museum.
I was so taken with the trees that I almost missed the garland. It is an eye-pleasing display and a terrific fund raiser.
Beautiful Christmassy way to raise money, love the reflections Jack, it's made me feel a little guilty about being too busy to get our tree up yet, oh well tomorrow is another day, I'm just going to have another glass of wine haha!
These are lovely! I hope they raise a tidy sum. :)
What a beautiful setting for this event. I'd have a hard time choosing one of these beauties.
Oh,I'd love to see that in real!must be wonderful and magyc!
Nice reflections! By the way, seeing as how you are a "true" believer, I own a bridge in New York in which I think you'd probably be interested...
What a wonderful event! Hope they raise lots of money!! Superb captures and lovely reflections! Hope you have a great weekend, Jack!

A wonderful way to raise money. I would imagine it is a popular event.
I never get a Christmas tree, but would be tempted this time...
The Gardiner Museum of Ceramics here does the same thing - it's a great idea for fundraising!
I wouldn't mind having one of them but I imagine they are frightfully expensive. It's a wonderful idea though and they do look good!
super festive!
Pretty as a picture Jack and what a great way to raise funds.
Great event for a fundraiser.
Just one question: Does Santa really know how naughty you've been? Or nice?
Or..........Four Trees and a Babe!

I just love the lights and sparkle this time of year. The garland, wreaths, and trees all brighten the long dark nights.
That would be fun to see. I like the reflection on the floor.
What nice reflections on that shiny floor. They really do stand out. So festive and bright. I have not been to a Festival of Trees in years and years. This one with that wonderful statue looks to be quite wonderful. genie
Wonderful event, beautiful trees and lights.
Your perspective is wonderful which means you were able to get verrrry low to the ground to get that shot.

Beautiful reflections. I would be first in line to purchase a wreath!
They look good all massed together - love the reflections too.
That first photo- I thought it was an ice rink before I read on!
