When I lived in Mesa (a few miles to the east) I used to see the fire training facility all of the time. I'm not sure where it is in Phoenix. This tower is much more realistic than the one I used to see in Mesa.
My daughter's dad was a fire fighter and I used to have to deliberately NOT think about the danger he might be in. Thankfully he survived to retire and go on to more tranquil pursuits.

Rather them than me. That's one job I wouldn't even contemplate doing. I'm glad that others are braver than me!
what heroes.
Thank goodness for the firemen Jack!
Corageous and admirable work these guys do!
God bless you!

Looks like practice and a good workout, too!
Great guys for sure.
Cool picture Jack!
I've already seen such training exercises. So impressive! they make better understand how difficult this job is, and how thankfull we must be!
Superb photo of this brave young man:)
Great action shot.
Everyone needs a place to train! :)
Great shot Jack! Ours is out near our airport too.
Great shot, causes me to wonder where our firefighters train. May have to go ask a neighbor.

I love "action" shots. This one is something I haven't seen in awhile. I love it!!
Nice capture.
My brother-in-law is a firefighter...have always wondered how they do it! Heights and fire and all...
