Elizabeth Park in Mid-Summer
Time to return to the annual garden that I have shown you previously at different states of bloom and decline. Here it is last weekend. It is approaching full bloom, and none of the annuals have started to decline yet. I took this early in the morning so I could avoid shadows, but the price I paid is that hardly anyone was there yet. By mid-day on any day, the gardens are alive with people of all kinds.

Sometimes leaving people out of a photo is not a bad idea. Someone certainly knows how to take care of a garden of this scope. The white arch looks like a perfect place for wedding photos. Do couples ever use it for that purpose?
Elizabeth park is a great place for garden photos and you captured it very well.
Wow, Jack that is beautiful. And I love the quality of the light in this shot.
I love that second shot. The garden seems quite content to enjoy its own company.
Looks like a lovely backyard - wish it were mine!
What a beautiful park Jack, I would love to see the same angle with people :)
It's such a lovely place!
I like this shot without the clutter of people moving about.
Just beautiful! Nothing is in decline yet around here either. :)
Oh, it's simply lovely, Jack. Thank you for going out early to get these photos to share with us.
It's absolutely lovely. We don't have anything like that around here! I would guess it's pretty humid at this time of year too?
Just went back and looked at the other two scenes in this garden Jack, the tulips were fantastic and this one is superb! I wish my front lawn looked like that one!
Such a beautiful garden! I would so enjoy walking there.
Thank you Jack. These are wonderful. Gorgeous garden.
I like that you photographed it without people Jack. It certainly is a beautiful place!
I think that flowers enjoy to be on their own at the early hours of the day..I do!..
Perfect for me.
I agree with Malyss that the flowers seem to enjoy the solitude in the early morning and, yes, so do I! Gorgeous captures, Jack, love the last one with the wonderful colors! Enjoy your day!

No doubt about the name of this beautiful park!
I like the early morning dewiness of this shot!
Still lovely as before. Great color.
ooohhh, This is a beauty.
How beautiful. Bravo for hitting the turf at an early hour for this.

I never tire of looking at this garden. It's rather nice without all the people. Great light!
What got you up so early? And yes, I used a Photoshop filter to get that effect you mentioned...
Have a great weekend!
So beautiful in summer!
Absolutely stunning. I prefer the shot without people in it, so I'm glad you took it that time of day!
I could have spent quite some time here. Looks pretty!
