Elizabeth Park in Mid-Summer

Time to return to the annual garden that I have shown you previously at different states of bloom and decline.  Here it is last weekend.  It is approaching full bloom, and none of the annuals have started to decline yet.  I took this early in the morning so I could avoid shadows, but the price I paid is that hardly anyone was there yet.  By mid-day on any day, the gardens are alive with people of all kinds.

Sometimes leaving people out of a photo is not a bad idea. Someone certainly knows how to take care of a garden of this scope. The white arch looks like a perfect place for wedding photos. Do couples ever use it for that purpose?

Wow, Jack that is beautiful. And I love the quality of the light in this shot.

I love that second shot. The garden seems quite content to enjoy its own company.

It's absolutely lovely. We don't have anything like that around here! I would guess it's pretty humid at this time of year too?

Just went back and looked at the other two scenes in this garden Jack, the tulips were fantastic and this one is superb! I wish my front lawn looked like that one!

I think that flowers enjoy to be on their own at the early hours of the day..I do!..

Perfect for me.

I agree with Malyss that the flowers seem to enjoy the solitude in the early morning and, yes, so do I! Gorgeous captures, Jack, love the last one with the wonderful colors! Enjoy your day!

I never tire of looking at this garden. It's rather nice without all the people. Great light!

What got you up so early? And yes, I used a Photoshop filter to get that effect you mentioned...

Have a great weekend!
