Re crepe myrtles: I'm thinking they are blooming a bit late this year. We had a number in our yard at our old Ocala house. The blossoms come in a variety of colors. You can keep them trimmed as bushes, or, like most everything else in Florida, leave 'em go and they grow into great big trees!

The building looks in very good shape and well-maintained. Are the windows at the top part of a building addition or do they belong to a building behind this one? I couldn't quite make it out, even after I maxed the photo.
Well, the name of the building gave me a great wake-up giggle and I wondered what you were up to today. But then, I too, saw the reflections!! And they are great! You ever notice on old buildings how they had the company name embedded in the building? I guess they planned on being there forever. You don't see anything like that much anymore. And if they did they would probably add a "YOU" between the second and third words. :)
Excellent shot of a great old building. I wonder what The dates 1887-1902 mean. With one date I would assume it was when the building was built- but two with a hyphen is something I would expect to see on a gravestone.
Thye have done a successful job of retaining the facade and updating the building. Interesting point that 'Clueless' made. It's true they don't seem to carve company names in stone anymore.

That's a good looking facade! They don't make 'em like that anymore. Too bad, though, the windows were replaced with such modern looking ones.

I like the old buildings with their names carved in the clay. The cloud reflections are a bonus.

The contrast between the old red wall and the modern part behind is very interesting; The reflected clouds add a little touch of nostalgy.
