Artists in the Rose Garden
This weekend is Rose Weekend in Elizabeth Park. Many of the roses are approaching their peak. In advance of the crowds that will be there this weekend, artists and photographers visited the park this week.
It's funny-- early on in spring our flowers are so much farther ahead than yours, and then zoom! yours surpasses ours. Our roses are barely beginning to bloom now.

They all appreciate beauty!
The artists are like a different species of flower in this garden.
I bet the aroma is amazing!
Gladys and Barbara seem to be focused on some particular roses bushes! Fun posting of the rose garden artists, Jack!
Glad you were there among the photographers and artists!
Oh How I love a rose garden, looks gorgeous Jack, I bet the smell is divine. Great spot for photos and artists alike!
I would love to stroll through there, without the crowds though.
Beautiful garden, gorgeous flowers and I would love to be there, too! Terrific captures, Jack! Enjoy your day!

The rose garden is soooo beautiful,no wonder that artists like it!
How fun to see the artist out and painting in a rose garden.
Oh, it looks like a magical garden!

I love seeing people painting in the outdoors.
The demographics of the group are a bit skewed to the older generation! Hope a lot of younger people come out for the weekend - it looks lovely.
I don't know how to paint or draw, but when I see beautyful gardens , I would like to be able to do that, like those two ladies..
And you were amongst them as a photographer artist yourself.
The white and pink hats are such a perfect match for the roses...
These would also be stunning in sepia or black and white. What a sweet post!
I guess someone took a picture of you...
Who would not be inspired by massed roses like that? The fragrance must be gorgeous too.
It looks beautiful! I too hope that artists of all ages take advantage of the inspirational setting.
This reminds me of my mother who was an excellent painter and loved painting flowers!
