Weekend Reflections: Gold

Here we see two different kinds of reflections, the golden reflections OF the Gold Building on the CVS building across the street, and the reflection ON the Gold Building of ING's tower at State House Square.  Whenever I drive up Pearl Street and see the gold light shimmering on the CVS building, I am caught off guard.

It is Friday again.  If you like photographs featuring reflections, this is your day.  Go to Newtown Area Photo to see them.

I can see why that would catch you off guard. I wonder what it looks like at sunset. Downtown Hartford looks like it has an interesting blend of old architecture with new. Have a nice weekend!

The reflection on the right has beautiful color but the reflected light on the brick building is simply stunning. Great shot and I would love to see how this looks with just the brick building without the clue to how it was formed.

Bon weekend,
G

A nice contrast of the reflections. I like the reflection on the left the best. Really unusual.

It makes me think perhaps being in a city might, possibly (could be) a good experience.

Beautifully done! And two reflections for the price of one shot! The reflected sunlight on the other building makes for an interesting pattern.

That is really a pretty light reflection ; I like the way those mirror glassed reverbere the light with this fuzzy effect ; it add to the charm of the picture...

This is one of my favorite photos, I've seen in a while (of any type). The reflections "of" the light on the other building is AMAZING!

Oh, that's gorgeous. It has a slight echo of the way sunshine flickers through autumn leaves, but it's really unique too.

I love this section of town. VERY urban looking. Of course, the reflection and coloration of the glass is beautiful too.

Feeling a little Golden today? Great shot!

You've given me a lot to reflect upon. Thus, I immediately began thinking deeply about the gold standard. That lasted 2 1/2 seconds.

So, I gave up. And will end this by saying you took some nice photos and if you were in my photo class, I'd give you an A.

Nature's first green is gold...

That's a very cool shot Jack, I had to call my husband in to check that one out.
