Miracle League
A baseball field for disabled children was installed this spring on Asylum Avenue in West Hartford. The field's surface is rubberized, so that children in wheel chairs, walkers and other walking aids can play baseball.
Reminds me of the Civitans Baseball Clinic I photographed last spring for kids with special needs. The Birmingham Barons came out and it was a great morning for all. This rubberized field is a great idea. V

Yes, it takes a village, and this one is filled with caring adults. Hoorah for all of them!
I like the name of the league -- The Miracle League. Nice. Great way to include special needs children. I bet they really enjoy it.
Absolutely wonderful! I applaud all groups that create places for everyone to play safely.
Oh, yes! I applaud these groups, too!! Love the name! Wonderful capture for the day, Jack!! Thank you!

Good for them!!!
love this. Thinking inclusively rather than exclusively. Great!
That is so wonderful.
What a good use of money!!
Wonderful. I just hope that some of the interest in the recent Paralympics will filter down to provide more facilities like this in the UK.
Really wonderful! :)
