Lyme Art Association

The Lyme Art Association is a member-owned and operated art gallery and teaching studio in Lyme, a pretty town on the Connecticut shore.  The gallery mounts a half dozen shows each year and is well worth a visit.  Typically, the works that are shown are plein air landscape paintings and other realistic artwork.  I have bought two or three paintings here over the years.

Nice composition. I like how you gave us a good flavor of the place by including two rooms with artwork. The building and property shown on the website look quite inviting.

These sort of galleries are such a boon for local artists to show off their work, this one looks so beautifully laid out Jack. We have many smaller galleries in Perth, I love checking them out now and then, it's a great way to spend an afternoon oui!

Art galleries and museums are my favorite places. They remind me of the possibilities of humans and cultures.

This looks like a great space for browsing the artwork and falling in love with one or two pieces.

Looks like a nice place to spend an afternoon. I like the notion of a "member-owned and operated" art gallery. There's a similar thing - tho much less impressive in Cedar Key. (That's in Florida, just in case you forgot! ;-))

Very good perspective and how nicely they display the art! It looks as if they have good lighting and a very human scale, a terrific place to spend time. What a treat to bring home some original art from here, too.

It looks wonderful - beautiful lighting.
Is that where Lyme disease originated?

That's a brilliant idea. I wish we had something like it here. We might, perhaps I just don't know about it...

What a lovely space with seemingly natural lighting. I want the large painting on the right side with the big tree! Nicely composed, Jack. Not easy to capture an art gallery well.

Looks like a place I would find a painting or two. I like the serene atmosphere for browsing.
