John

John left us a year ago.  He loved his 2015 trip to Johannesburg to visit sister Susie and Wessel

and to meet then-six-month old niece Willa and the weimaraners  He was excited to take a balloon ride over the veldt and a safari to see lions, elephants and other exotic animals in the wild.

Missing you, John.

It Begins Again . . .

     Pull the bulbs.    Check.

                                  

     Fertilize the beds and let them sit for a bit.    Check. 

     Weed the beds.    Check.

     Start planting the annual garden.    In process.

Line-Up

Two dozen adult and baby geese were coming at me in a straight line, but a bush blocked my shot.

By the time I moved into position, only the lead goose and four goslings were still in line.

Don't you hate it when nature blows a great shot on you?

Four Devotees of Japanese Fashion

a variety of corporate events running back to back.

Brooklyn, Connecticut

Brooklyn is halfway between Hartford and Providence.  It is home to a prison and a big agricultural fair.  But there are also some fine, traditional small town buildings where
 Route 6 crosses Route 169.

An antiques store faces a green and the road.  

The Unitarian Church is having its steeple painted.

Town Hall is at the intersection.
