Anne finally persuaded Steve to retire.  They have sold their house and are moving

to Florida.  Anne is excited about the new adventure.

Steve might be smiling, but he is scared.

Donna can usually be found walking her one year old dog.

Tory is an employment lawyer.  She is showing a frame she just bought at a tag sale.

Helen is Tory's daughter.  She will be doing her second triathlon today.

Mike is a videographer for one of Hartford's television stations.
He is a happy and friendly guy, but I liked this photo better than the smiling ones.

Joe is a financial advisor to high net worth individuals.

Janae's friends and family were at Ichiro to celebrate her 20th birthday.

Rob is a barber at West Hartford Professional Barber Shop.

Liz is working on her master's degree in social work.  She just began an internship at a West Hartford elementary school.  Joshua teaches martial arts and is getting qualified to teach yoga.
They posed for me at a new lattice structure in Elizabeth Park.

And, Mya is a professional electric violinist who prefers the blues.

My GPS and I got lost in Higganum, Connecticut, a couple of days ago,.

But, at least we came across this pretty little pond.

Looking Upward

This elegant stone house is in the Middle Haddam historic district of East Hampton, Connecticut.

The Hotchkiss-Fyler House is on the National Register of Historic Places.
It is a property of the Torrington Historical Society.

And, the owners of this lovely Victorian house must be boosters for
the North End of Middletown, Connecticut.

Lincoln Kirstein

(a)  Lincoln Kirstein founded the New York City Ballet and served as its general director for 43 years.

(b)  Kirstein was one of the Monument Men, a group of Allied soldiers who protected cultural sites from bombing by the Allied forces and then recovered many stolen art objects from Germany during and immediately after World War II.

(c)  Kirstein is the subject of a bronze bust by the noted Japanese American sculptor Isamu Noguchi, displayed in Hartford's Wadsworth Atheneum.

Capewell Horse Nail Co.

The 1900-vintage Capewell Horse Nail Co. building has been abandoned for decades.  

There is currently a proposal to spend $26 million to redevelop the structure into 72 apartments.
