On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Ridgefield, Connecticut, has a committee that is promoting yearlong discussions, lectures and other activities in support of America 250. I saw these mailboxes wrapped with America 250 signage at the home of Ridgefield's First Selectman (the equivalent of a mayor in this town's government).
Back to Naples, Florida. I hope I have a Florida image by tomorrow.

Hard to believe that next year will be the 250th year. We had a memorable gathering of friends for the 200th anniversary. That was nearly 50 years ago.
I hope you will be able to enjoy that day. I read a report yesterday explaining why the US is no longer a democracy.
Stefan, the discussion about whether the orange tyrant and his MAGA followers are moving America permanently away from democracy is very loud. I hope that a lot of anti-Trump people and centrists will, in time, put the country back on the right track.
