Popular local artist, Leona Lovegrove, died recently. A celebration of her life took place last weekend in Fort Myers. I never bought any of her colorful paintings, but they always brought a smile to my face. Her original gallery was in the funky town of Matlacha. She opened a Fort Myers gallery last year.

Jack, your post, with your fine portrait, is great way to honor the memory of this talented lady. It is too bad her Fort Myers gallery did not last longer. Her painting of the happy puffer fish is terrific.
Sorry to hear about her passing. That fish painting is a good one.
What a magnificent way to honour her. Beautiful and vibrant colours.
