Wandering - II

Here are some more photos from wandering around my community.

A great egret was hunting, unsuccessfully while I was there.

This alligator likes to sun himself near the women's tees on the 18th hole.

I see great blue herons often.  This one was watching golfers tee off on the 8th hole.

Pileated woodpeckers often announce their arrival with a loud squawk.

To be continued . . . .

The Pileated woodpecker is a wonderful bird to see. They are seldom this far north and west, and fortunately we never have alligators. They are fine to see, but only at a distance.
