A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida (Naples) and southwest Connecticut (Ridgefield) and New England and other places he goes.
I've often thought the same...but there is a bit of fluff on his tummy that's red. I love when they visit our trees.
I can see that the woodpeckers have often visited this tree given the line of holes. Good shot of this fellow at work.

I have seen that with quite a few bird names over the years.
