A Pileated Woodpecker
I think of woodpeckers as small birds, but when we come across a pileated woodpecker, I suspect the common first reaction is "Whoa, look at that big guy!"

I just looked it up - they are about half as big again as our largest woodpecker, the Green Woodpecker. A big guy, indeed!
The sound they make pounding on trees is huge too, Jack! Good catch of him!
I remember the first time I saw a woodpecker as a kid and he looked nothing like Woody woodpecker 😂
