Great White Egret and Roseate Spoonbill

Two handsome specimens foraged in a marsh beside the golf course.
I need to adjust my camera settings to get more feather detail.

It's always tricky photographing white birds, especially in bright light. The Great White Egret is beginning to colonise these islands in the last year or two.

There must be plenty to eat there, since they didn't seem to be in competition.

I don't think I've ever seen a Roseate Spoonbill in the wild! Fabulous to see, Jack!

Two beauties! I never see spoonbills around here.

Nice that they can get along.

I like the pretty pink one. We may have a few Great Whites here now but not the Roseate Spoonbill, as far as I know.
