On the way to the airport to fly my daughter and her family back to Connecticut, traffic was held while motorcycles, SUVs, vans, police cars, ambulances and other vehicles streamed past,
escorting Vice President Pence's motorcade. An expensive way to get someone to a game of golf.
Out of seven or eight SUVs, three were heavy silver SUVs with small windows.
I'm guessing they randomly put the Vice President in one and the others are decoys.

Interesting to see how our tax dollars are being used.
That's a generally similar technique in terms of security transport for high level officials.
Stopping traffic is annoying, but hopefully keeps the VIP safe no matter where they are going. Hope the Secret Service did not see you as a threat with your camera.
And golf, as Mark Twain famously observed, is a good walk spoiled.
I'm glad that's not my life, sweeping around in motorcades.
Holding tongue. Resisting grumpy comments.
