Poinsettia Tree

Hartford's City Hall has a Poinsettia Tree in its atrium during the holidays.

Budget pressures nearly canceled it this year, but some businesses stepped
forward to cover the costs.  Take a good look.  I doubt they will want to keep
bailing out the City, year after year.

If the companies get some sort of publicity out of it they may be happy to continue their sponsorship. In Cambridge the flower gardens on traffic roundabouts are often paid for by local firms, all they get out of it seems to be a small sign saying who pays for the upkeep. The office equipment suppliers that my brother used to work for sponsor one, even though they were not so forthcoming with pay rises for their workers!

Poinsettia trees are lovely, this one is a bit different with the white ones interspersed with the traditional red.

Very pretty. I like the white ones inserted to give it contrast.

Our church does a smaller version of a poinsettia tree. Great shot.

That is pretty. One of the office buildings here does a poinsetta tree each year as opposed to a Christmas tree in their lobby.

It looks lovely, Jack! Hopefully some company steps up to pay for one next year!
