Baseball!

The Boston Red Sox start their season tomorrow in Boston.  Last weekend I went to one of the
last spring training games at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers.

Center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a home run.

Inside the fences, the field is a replica of Fenway Park in Boston. The stands are far more modern.

The early weeks of spring training are for evaluating the new players and getting the regular players into condition.  Late in the season, the regulars are playing.

There is plenty to entertain the crowd before the game.

A statue of Hall of Fame player Ted Williams giving his cap to a young boy stands near the entrance.

The statue of Ted Williams is very charming. Lots of fans in your photos, ready for the season.

You've captured the atmosphere there. Seems like half the world's sportspeople train in Florida. It must be an ideal climate.

Baseball is back. Hoping for a good season for the Mets.... and anyone except the Yankees. ;)

Excellent shots- the Ted Williams statue particularly.

However the season goes, we can't have that momentary aberration of the Cubs winning the World Series happen again.

Summer is on the way when baseball begins! We start in Baltimore tomorrow.

Go Boston! It will be an interesting season for them considering the players starting the season on the DL.

The Sox need to go play in a place with even weirder architecture than this.

I need a little Red Sox input from you on my Monday post.

Great action shot. Looks like the stadium is packed for the action.

You are so lucky to be able to go to spring training games. Wish I could do that. Like your photos documenting your day at the ball park.
