Sometimes the background is cluttered and the least distracting background is a brick wall.
Anna's tee shirt defines "gypsy" as a nomadic or free-spirited person. Seems right to me.
She works in Pfau's, my favorite old-fashioned West Hartford hardware store.
Anna graduated from a Missouri boarding school this year. She might move to New Jersey this fall. Maybe she will go to cosmetology school. (She colors her own hair.)
Anna chose to have birds tattooed on her arm because she loves nature.
Sage is an artist from Bloomfield. Her son River is almost two.
Sage specializes in painting and collage, often on textiles and clothing.
Her etsy store is sage meadow designs.
Angela spotted my Florida license plate. She was born in Fort Myers and grew up in Orlando.
For the last two years, she has worked in community relations for ESPN
(located in Bristol, 20 miles southwest of Hartford).

A very interesting trio! You're a brick, ol' man!
That was a compliment!
Loved the variety of faces and personalities, but my heart was captured by that beautiful baby!!
Brick DOES make a great background. I'll have to remember that if I ever get into taking portraits! You seem to find the nicest people to photograph!
I was drawn to the 3 different hairstyles against the brick. Favorite? Red on red.
Another attractive group of people. I must say, River's smile kind of steals the show. Those bricks do make a great backdrop!
You do indeed find great people to photograph and I really like the brick background! Your "people/shots from Naples and Hartford pics are so different -- I mean the people themselves look different and I do find that so interesting!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Jack!! Enjoy!!
Nice, creative background for these lovely portraits.
There is something fascinating about that pic of Sage & River, Jack! I like the other pics too.
Quite a mix of portraits, Jack!
Great portraits!
Love that first shot and her tattoo.
lovely to see people out-and-about in your community Jack. All with a story to tell.
Three nice stories and three excellent portraits. By the way, my favorite is the last one.
I think the brick wall background gives these portrait shots a bit of an edgy feel Jack, very cool!
We have girls' boarding schools?
That top portrait is terrific. The varying color of the brick wall enriches it.
