Gator's Cross Roads is a redneck bar southeast of Naples.
On the day I visited, a good three-man band was set up in the parking lot,
performing classic rock like
performing classic rock like
Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, Cream and Queen.
A large group of bikers was there, including Tommy.
And Lon and Paul, from Maine. Spanish moss decorates the walls. Unusual.
Michael had some of his wood carvings nearby. Michael uses a chain saw
to craft birds, bears, gators and other animals from tree trunks.
Tough Guy Charlie wanted to wreck the group photo.
Nope. I am not that easily discouraged.

Excellent photography of a fun day.
Shore looks like a bunch of good ol' boys (and gals) havin' a good time out thar in that neck of the woods. Did y'all buy them some beer?
It appears that bikers look the same the world over. Didn't realise that your blog was sponsored by Harley-Davidson.
Ah, local culture!
looks like a fun place to hang out! that charlie, you can't take him anywhere!
Love these, but would have paid good money to see you in the photo with these guys! Other comments: did you pick up a carved wooden bear?? And I think you should have left Charlie's finger in - I'm sure most of your audience have seen far more shocking things before, and it would have been more natural. In fact, I would have zoomed in!
Looks like a fun place! I agree about the Spanish moss on the walls, very unusual. And, great job "editing" that last photo. You made Charlie the star!
Funny photos of a fun day !
I like the Spanish moss on Lon's face :-)
Not hard to know where you were taking pics! Yep, great editing -- a common need in that part of the world!! Hope your week is going well, Jack!!
Music and bikes go together just fine, but the bikes should be parked when beer is involved. Looks like a fun day.
I like that motorbike!
A lot of posturing going on there, Jack! The guys from Maine must be happy to be away from the snow.
Hmmmmm. Jack, do you wear pink when you drive your bike?
Pretty cool collection!
Quite different from your usual portraits and quite fascinating!
Love the Peace t=shirt.
Oh that made me smile Jack :) Nicely placed star!
You tell those bikers to cruise north to Bham and visit the Barber Motorsports Museum. I"m featuring it this week on my blog. Don't faint. I know I'm not a bike/race car kind a girl but I love this place. Your portraits are all so much fun. I would like to have been along for this shoot.
