These days the pier is visited by tourists, beachgoers and fishermen.

Spent many happy hours on or near that pier. Got some great sunsets, too, by catching the sun as it goes down over the end of the pier.
I was wondering what motivated you to take that last picture of people on the pier?
I hope none of the visitors encounter a hook on a line being cast from the pier.

We do not have piers like these, and looking at your pictures I think it is a shame!
I'm holding my hands up to my computer screen to catch a little of that warmth...I can almost smell the sunscreen. By my standards that's a lot of humanity in one place.

That is a nice pier! I grew up in Jacksonville Beach and we would walk to the pier from our house. Great memories!

What is it about different coastlines that differentiate one from another. I looked at the picture and just knew it wasn't the west coast. Funny, don't you think? Enjoying the sun instead of the cold?

Yes I agree with Bob, its when you take crowd shots like this that you realise how different we all are. Looks like the pier is a big drawcard Jack.
