Now, really! You gotta look in the mirror before you go out. Right, ladies?
I was going to post the bottom photo just because I liked it, but I figured most people would think it was too boring. What do you think? (Update: I have linked it to
Shadow Shot Sunday.)

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do...and not worry about what other people think. Yeah it's kinda boring, but so what. You like it, right?
Actually, it's rather artistic. The grass looks like velvet.
I think the second image is quite pretty. :)
And, regarding the top one, it is a bit much in the art gallery, but not at all out of the ordinary on a cruise ship. ;) It reminds me of an image snapped of Princess Diana before she and Prince Charles were married.
I like the walk through the art and the tree shadows photo is artsy - I like it, too!
top shot...that look is intentional, i think.
bottom shot...not the least bit boring.
and i like the way you've caught the echo of the subject in the painting with your photographic subject in that top shot.
I agree with Lois and was instantly reminded of the Diana photo uproar.
In the second shot the reflections look like the tree roots.
I actually like the bottom image very much.
She's young and pretty Jack, she can get away with it! The shadow shot is pretty cool..
I agree with you on both counts...
Elenka always says, "after you do something, step back and look at it." All I can say about this lady is 'the horror, the horror... the humanity'!
I think this lady was going for some kind of gauzy look. So even if she had looked twice at herself in the mirror she would have liked what she saw. THere's no accounting for taste!
And I like your shadow shot. I think it's pretty. :)
She didn't need to look, she knew!
Well, I think the bottom shot is magnificent. That's because I like trees and shadows!
Oh, yes, she knew!
But the trees and shadows -- they are fantastic, Jack! I always prefer them to -- what shall I say?? dumb broads???
I like the second shot. There is something about those long shadows that I find appealing.
My mother always used to say when confronted by strange clothing combinations, "they must not have any mirrors in their house".
Oh, Jack....she definitely knew what she was doing. Love the shadows of the trees -- nice.
I'm with you on the top shot, and agree with the consensus on the bottom, I'd use it too.
I like the shadows!
The top is not a look I would wear but she probably feels great.
The juxtaposition of these two images is interesting. It make me see legs in the second photo!
That image on the bottom is wonderful almost eerie.
I agree with SRQ...some people just want to show off the goods. As for the bottom photo....I like the play of the shadows.
Top photo: The people at art exhibits are sometimes better than the artwork. The most shocking woman I've seen at an art show was one similar to your subject who had a dress with an opening across the front. She wore panty hose with NOTHING underneath them. Not Minnesota Nice!!
I am always surprised, too, at how others "see" some of my photos. You may think the second photo as boring, but obviously others do not. I like the subtle touch!
I smiled when I read caption for top shot and love the trees. There are a lot of artistic folk before me who love it too it has to be said.
I think the shadows of the tree are wonderful. The lighting was perfect for them to come popping out. But, that gal...oh, my goodness. That is a real boo-boo on her part. genie
nice trees!
i do look in the mirror before i leave, but then when you see yourself actually walking, it sometimes looks completely different...
Well I must say the top photo has a wow effect that the second, beautiful as it is, doesn't have. What a remarkable attire!
Your second shot is far from boring! It depends on what you see...I'm an artist so the shapes, mood, color, movement, always stirs up associations!
Your bottom shot is fantastic!!
