Here is a front view of the house I showed yesterday. I think the flag is hung over the door most of the time . . . the photo was taken in late August when there was no holiday or other reason to hang the flag. And, how do you like that string of balls to lead the rain down?
This is the side that the painter was working on last summer.

It's a real beauty, and actually I didn't think it was so big!
I have never seen a string of beads to lead the rain down before - very interesting. And a really beautiful house. LOVE the stylized mansard roofs!
With a house this large, they have a lot to be patriotic about.
Thanks for the close up, the entrance is gorgeous! An elegant house!

This house is beautifully trimmed and painted and it's way bigger that I first imagined.
Wow, magnificent building! I'll wager it took him most of the summer to do this one!
Gorgeous! Love the flag, too. We don't use our front door often, so perhaps they are the same, thus the flag there most/all of the time.
What a fantastic house and so HUGE! I, too, love the flag! That would have been the perfect amount of space for my family of six!!! Hope your week is going well, Jack!!
What a gorgeous house! Love those beads.
That's an enormous and very elegant house. I'd love to take a look inside. I've never seen that kind of drainpipe either, I wonder if it works? Rather sweet, it looks like a chain of hearts.
I like the rain chain near the entrance.
That is one very impressive house! It could be a hotel! Love the colors!
Gosh this Victorian style beauty goes on forever. I remember the shots of the guy painting it Jack, quite an undertaking I see now, but didn't he do an excellent job..all that trim phew! I love the 'water' beads, I have a similar thing hanging by our garage for exactly the same reason.
Wow! Such a great house! And so beautiful too!
Seems they are very patriotic!
And I think the string of balls is rather unusual and nice!
My goodness! This house is HUGE! How nice that they've kept it up so beautifully.
The house is absolutely beautiful! I've never seen such a thing as the string of balls. Fantastic!
Yesterday I was at a garden party hosted by some British great friends of mine. Some of the guests were American friends of theirs and, coincidently, the flag on private houses in the US came up on the conversation. You won't find it here.
