All of Ridgefield seems to gather in front of Town Hall for the annual tree lighting and arrival of Santa.
The littlest ones often end up on dad's shoulders.
High school groups sing Christmas carols while the crowd waits.
At 6:30 the mayor flips a switch and the trees light up.
Before long a fire engine brings Santa and Mrs. Claus, who greet the cheering crowd.
Cold, but worth it.

A fun tradition.
Wonderful kick-off for the Christmas season. Fine street photography.
I adore these adventures! Lovely captures what a fun time you all had!
I was around for a tree lighting here, though I'm not one for Christmas.
